Dwight D.Eisenhower and Harry S. Truman (Jan 20, 1953)

“Custom decreed that the outgoing and incoming Presidents ride down Pennsylvania Avenue together.”  The incoming Eisenhower asked the outgoing Truman who had ordered his son, John Eisenhower, back from Korea for the Inauguration, “I did,” said the President.  And a grateful father thanked him sincerely (In Review by Dwight D. Eisenhower).
